Who we are and what this covers

GoToCalc is an independent Singapore-focused collection of educational and planning calculators. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of GoToCalc. This policy covers gotocalc.net and the GoToCalc calculator subdomains that link to it. It does not cover other websites reached through external links.

Calculator inputs and results

Our calculators are designed to process the figures and selections you enter within your browser. We do not intentionally receive or store these inputs as calculator submissions on our servers. You do not need to create an account to use the calculators.

A browser may retain form entries through features such as autofill or session restoration. Where a tool offers local saving, printing or downloading, the saved information remains subject to your device, browser, storage and printing settings. Use the calculator’s clear control where available and manage saved browser data, especially on a shared device.

Please avoid entering unnecessary identifying details. If you choose to email a result or screenshot to us, the information you include becomes part of that correspondence.

Technical information from visits

Our hosting and website-delivery services, including Hostinger, may process technical information needed to deliver, maintain and protect the websites. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, requested page addresses, referring pages, request times and error or security records.

These records may be used to keep the websites available, diagnose problems, prevent abuse and understand basic service activity. They are separate from figures entered into a calculator. Not using Google Analytics does not mean that hosting or security records are absent.

When you contact us

If you email contact@gotocalc.net, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message, attachments and related email information. We use this information to reply, investigate reported problems, manage privacy requests and keep relevant correspondence.

Please send only what is needed. Remove personal information from screenshots and use example calculation figures where possible. Do not send passwords, NRIC numbers, account credentials or full bank statements. Email is handled through our email service providers and yours.

Cookies, browser storage, analytics and advertising

As of the date above, we have not enabled Google Analytics or Google AdSense on GoToCalc. This Privacy Policy page does not install advertising or analytics scripts.

Website platforms, hosting or security services may use cookies or similar technologies for technical functions. Browser storage and form-restoration behaviour can differ between calculator pages and browsers. You can review, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; doing so may affect some functionality.

If we introduce analytics or advertising, we will update this policy to explain the services, information involved and available choices, and implement applicable consent controls before enabling them. This policy does not represent that Google advertising is currently operating on GoToCalc.

Service providers and other disclosures

Information may be processed by providers that support hosting, website delivery, security and email, to the extent needed to provide those services. We do not sell personal information supplied to us. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to address abuse, protect rights or respond to a valid legal request.

Service providers may process information outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data subject to Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act, we are responsible for meeting applicable transfer requirements, including comparable protection where required.

Retention and protection

We retain correspondence and other personal information only for as long as needed for its purpose or a relevant legal or business requirement. Retention of technical records also depends on the service provider and configuration. We do not promise a single deletion period for all types of information.

We take reasonable care to protect information in our possession or control. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Please contact us if you suspect a privacy or security issue.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to ask about our handling of your personal data, request access or correction, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or ask us to delete information we no longer need. Requests are subject to applicable law, identity verification and any permitted exceptions or retention requirements.

We may ask for limited information to verify and respond to your request. Please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to respond to an enquiry or provide a service that needs the information.

External websites

Links to official sources, payment services and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Visiting them may share information such as your IP address and referring page. GoToCalc does not control those services; review their privacy policies before supplying personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be explained here and, where appropriate, through an additional notice.
